Payslip checker
Is the tax on my payslip right?
Your employer or pension provider follows HMRC’s method exactly: the tax-free amount in your code and the rate bands are spread evenly over the year, and on a normal code each payday is checked against the year so far. We do the same sums so you can see whether the tax on your payslip matches.
